TEAM RISP- Phillies: 8 for 20 Pirates: 1 for 7

Bill Hallman had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Kid Carsey completed the game without
help from the bullpen at Exposition Park as the Philadelphia Phillies
embarrassed the Pittsburg Pirates by the lopsided score of 14 to 3.

Hallman was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He laced a single in the 3rd inning,
laced a one-base hit which brought home a run in the 6th inning, clubbed a
solo home run in the 8th inning and delivered a base-hit which plated a run
in the 9th inning. The Philadelphia offense was great, scoring in 7 of the 9
innings.

Carsey(8-8) allowed 3 runs on the game. Pink Hawley(12-12) took the loss. He
allowed 17 hits and 5 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.
