Hallman was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided much of the offense for the visitors. He laced a single in the 3rd inning, laced a one-base hit which brought home a run in the 6th inning, clubbed a solo home run in the 8th inning and delivered a base-hit which plated a run in the 9th inning. The Philadelphia offense was great, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings. Carsey(8-8) allowed 3 runs on the game. Pink Hawley(12-12) took the loss. He allowed 17 hits and 5 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.
