TEAM RISP- Colonels: 3 for 14 Giants: 10 for 24

First baseman Bill Joyce had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Cy Seymour struck out 11
batters as the New York Giants clobbered the outmatched Louisville Colonels,
14 to 3.

Seymour(13-8) delivered a fine performance for New York. He surrendered 10
hits and 6 walks in 9 innings. New York bats were hot in the 1st inning
which saw them plate 4 runs on 5 hits and the 4th inning which saw them score
5 runs on 6 hits. New York kept the pressure on throughout the contest as
they scored in 6 different innings.

Chick Fraser(6-14) absorbed the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 23 hits and
6 walks in 8 innings. The New York fans were thrilled by the performance put
forth by Seymour, but it was clearly his strikeouts that they enjoyed most.
'When he reached 10 strikeouts the fans showed him their appreciation with a
loud cheer.' Joyce said following the game.
