TEAM RISP- Americans: 9 for 23 Cardinals: 1 for 4

Right fielder Emmett Heidrick collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI and
Rube Waddell came through with a solid 9 innings as the Boston-AL Americans
destroyed the St. Louis-NL Cardinals by a score of 15 to 2 at Robison
Field.

Boston-AL had 7 runs cross the plate in the top of the 5th inning with the
help of 7 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Bill Bradley who quieted
the crowd when he cracked a two-run shot. Boston-AL bats were hot in the 5th
inning with 7 runs on 7 hits and the 9th inning which saw them plate 5 runs
on 4 hits. Boston-AL managed 19 hits in their victory.

Waddell(16-6) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. Willie
Sudhoff(6-12) was the loser. He was knocked around, surrendering 8 runs in 4
and 1/3 innings.

When questioned about his counterpart after the game, Sudhoff was lavish in
his praise, 'It was obvious very early on that we were going to be in for a
long night. Waddell brought his 'A' game with him - he had good stuff and
was able to spot it perfectly. He probably only made one or two bad pitches
the entire game!
