Sammy Strang had 2 base hits and Ned Garvin pitched a complete game as the
Brooklyn Superbas bested the St. Louis Cardinals 7 to 1 at Robison
Field.

St. Louis found themselves trailing quickly as the Brooklyn bats came through
in the first inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits.  That early scoring was all
that Garvin(8-9) needed.  Brooklyn rapped out 8 hits for the afternoon.

Bob Rhoads(3-6) was given the loss.  He allowed 7 runs and 8 hits in 9
innings.
