Center fielder Ollie Pickering left the yard and had 3 RBI and Tully Sparks
was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as
the St. Louis-AL Browns defeated the Philadelphia-NL Phillies by a score of
13 to 6 at Baker Bowl.

Pickering had a big day against Philadelphia-NL. He blasted a two-run home
run in the 1st inning, doubled plating a run in the 3rd inning and slapped a
base-hit in the 6th inning. Philadelphia-NL scored in 5 different innings,
but their shaky pitching kept them from victory.

Sparks(9-7) allowed 6 runs on the game. Jack Cronin(3-3) took the loss. He
allowed St. Louis-AL 8 runs in 2 innings of work.
