Otto Hess was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game as the Boston Braves defeated the Cincinnati Reds by the score of 5 to 4
at Redland Field.

Hess(7-9) pitched a solid game.  He surrendered 8 hits and 3 walks in 9
innings.  Boston banged out 11 hits on the afternoon.  

Rube Benton(7-10) absorbed the loss.  He was unable to control the Boston
offense and allowed 11 hits and 2 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.
