Eddie Foster stepped up to the plate and he ripped a single. Foster took second on the throw. Clyde Milan got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Howard Shanks came up and he would ground out scoring a run. Chick Gandil came to the plate and was walked intentionally. Doug Neff added to the uprising and drew a walk to load the bases.
