Billy Johnson had 2 base hits at Sportsman's Park where the Pittsburgh Pirates
beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3 to 0.

The game started off with Pittsburgh taking the lead in the first scoring one
runner. The early run support proved sufficient for Ellis Kinder(7-6) and
Pittsburgh. That was all the run support Kinder required. Neither team
managed to score after the 2nd inning.

Kinder got help from Vic Lombardi who was credited with his 12th save. Vic
Raschi(8-8) ended up with the loss. He gave up 9 hits and 1 walk in 7
