Ferris Fain had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Chicago-NL Cubs defeated the
Cincinnati Reds by a score of 13 to 7 at Crosley Field.

Chicago-NL scored 7 runs in the 3rd inning when they came up with 6 base hits.
The early run support proved sufficient for Vic Raschi(8-3) and Chicago-NL.
That was all the run support Raschi required.  Cincinnati was out-hit by
Chicago-NL, 17 hits to 11.  

Russ Meyer(9-7) was the loser.  He was unable to control the Chicago-NL
offense and allowed 11 hits and 3 walks in 4 innings.
