Jesse Burkett blasted 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Cy Young pitched a complete
game as the Cleveland Spiders outscored the Louisville Colonels 4 to 3.

The game was won by Cleveland with a run in the 9th inning.  Burkett smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly'.  Cleveland had 8 hits for the afternoon.  

The victory went to Young(13-13) who went the distance allowing 3 runs. Bill
Hill(7-13) was tagged with the loss.  The Cleveland ballclub's record now
