The Pittsburgh Pirates edged the New York Giants at Forbes Field by the score
of 10 to 9.

Chief Wilson had a big day at the plate.  He tripled scoring a run in the 1st
inning, tripled which plated a run in the 3rd inning and tripled plating a
run in the 6th inning.  Pittsburgh had 15 hits overall, while New York had
10.  

The win was credited to Claude Hendrix(14-4) who went 7 and 2/3 innings
allowing 9 runs. Jack Ferry preserved the game for Hendrix, recording his his
4th save.  Red Ames(9-6) suffered the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing
15 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
