Right fielder John Titus smacked 2 triples as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the
Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 6 to 5 at Redland Field.

Cincinnati had 3 runs cross the plate in the bottom of the 5th inning.
Pittsburgh threatened in the 9th but Cincinnati was able to put down the
rally.

The victory went to Howie Camnitz(9-5) who went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs.
Camnitz got help from Babe Adams who was credited with his 21st save. Cy
Morgan(3-2) took the loss. He pitched 6 and 1/3 innings giving up 8 hits and
3 walks.

When questioned about the loss, Steven Schell said, 'The fans got to see an
exciting game out there this afternoon. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it
done this time. Next time, though, we'll be the clubhouse with all the
smiles.'
