Ed Seward went 9 solid innings as the Philadelphia Athletics bested the
Cleveland Blues 13 to 4 at Jefferson St Grounds.

Philadelphia had 5 runs cross the plate in the 2nd inning when they came up
with 7 base hits.  That was all the runs Seward(15-8) needed.  Philadelphia
banged out 16 hits on the afternoon.  

Hugh Daily(4-2) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving
up 13 runs in 8 innings.
