Noodles Hahn went 9 strong innings at Robison Field as the seemingly
unstoppable Cincinnati Reds belted the St. Louis Cardinals by the count of 12
to 0.
St. Louis found themselves trailing quickly as the Cincinnati bats came
through in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits. That
scoring would be all that was needed. Cincinnati had 15 hits for the
afternoon.
For Hahn(15-3) it was his 2nd shutout this year. The losing pitcher was
Chappie McFarland(5-9). Cincinnati knocked him around a bit, as he gave up
12 runs in 9 innings.
Cincinnati continued their winning ways, with their streak now at 7 games and
counting. Joe Kelley held court after the contest, 'Everything is coming up
