Casey Patten pitched a complete game as the Washington Senators bested the
Chicago White Sox in 10 innings 9 to 8 at American League Park.

Both teams were tied at 8 runs apiece after nine innings.  Washington ended up
winning it in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Patten ripped a
single.  After another out, Patsy Donovan came up and he ripped a base-hit,
and an error was also committed, making Washington the winners and sending
the 1,029 fans home happy.  Washington totaled 10 hits on the afternoon.

The victory was credited to Patten(7-13) who went the distance, allowing 8
runs. Roy Patterson(3-4) ended up with the loss in relief.  He was a
hard-luck loser, pitching 1 and 1/3 innings and not allowing an earned run.

Wth the win Washington now has a record of 19-55.  With the loss, the Chicago
ballclub's record is 51-29.
