Fielder Jones had 3 base hits as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Boston Red
Sox 7 to 5 at Huntington Ave Grnds.

Nick Altrock(4-5) gave Chicago a solid outing.  He went 8 and 1/3 innings
allowing 11 hits and no walks.  Boston tried unsuccessfully to come back in
the 9th.  

Altrock got help from Moxie Manuel who was credited with his 7th save.  Cy
Young(11-7) was the loser.  'It's a disheartening loss, no question about it'
said Deacon McGuire 'But we have to get over it and get ready for the next
game.'
