Catcher Larry McLean went deep and had 3 RBI and Jack Rowan delivered 9 solid
innings as the Cincinnati Reds bested the reeling Boston Doves 9 to 2 at
South End Grounds.

The Boston fans didn't appreciate the big day McLean had. He popped a two-run
clout over the fence in the 4th inning and tripled which plated a run in the
8th inning. Cincinnati managed 15 hits in their victory.

Rowan(8-5) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. Cecil Ferguson(6-10)
ended up with the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 5 walks in 6
and 2/3 innings.
