Right fielder Harry Hooper had 4 hits and 5 RBI at Shibe Park as the
Cincinnati Reds beat the Philadelphia-AL Athletics by the count of 9 to
8.

Hooper was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He singled in the 2nd inning, ripped a
single plating two runs in the 3rd inning, ripped a base-knock which was good
for two runs in the 5th inning and slapped a one-base hit which brought home
a run in the 6th inning. Philadelphia-AL proved to be no trouble in the
bottom of the 9th.

The victory went to Howie Camnitz(5-4) who went 6 innings, allowing 6 runs.
Slim Sallee recorded his 2nd save. King Cole(3-7) ended up with the loss.
He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.

'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll take the win' Camnitz said.
