Bill McKechnie had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Jack Ferry had a complete game at
South End Grounds where the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the league door-mat

McKechnie had a good day at the plate. He tripled scoring two baserunners in
the 3rd inning, smacked a single resulting in a run in the 5th inning,
doubled in the 6th inning and lined a one-base hit in the 9th inning.
Pittsburgh rapped out 15 hits for the afternoon.
The victory was credited to Ferry(3-4) who went the distance, allowing 5 runs.
Hank Griffin(1-4) was hit with the loss. He gave up 10 runs in 6 innings of
work.
