Jimmy Walsh had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Chief Bender took a no-hitter into
the 6th inning as the Baltimore Terrapins beat the St. Louis Terriers in 10
innings by a score of 6 to 4.

Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings.  Baltimore won the hard
fought contest in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Steve Evans
began the Baltimore spurt when he drew a walk.  After another out, Frank
Owens came to the plate and stroked a base-hit.  Mickey Doolin then singled
scoring a run.  Joe Agler came up and he laced a base-knock scoring the final
run of the inning.  Baltimore finished with 14 hits in the victory.  

The win went to Bender(9-8) who allowed 4 runs in the game.  The right-handed
Bender had his no-hit bid broken up by Tex Wisterzil who tripled with one out
in the 6th inning.  Eddie Plank(10-8) was tagged with the loss.  He was hit
hard and gave up 13 hits and 3 walks in 9 and 2/3 innings.
