Happy Finneran was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Benny Kauff had 3 base hits as the Brooklyn club defeated
the Chicago Whales by a score of 8 to 3 at Weeghman Park.
Brooklyn scored 3 runs in the decisive 6th inning with the help of 3 hits.
The biggest moment was provided by George Anderson who quieted the home crowd
when he tripled which was good for two runs. Brooklyn totaled 14 hits on the
afternoon.
Finneran(4-4) lasted until the end allowing 3 runs for the win. Ad
Brennan(1-3) was given the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 11 hits
and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
