Pee Wee Reese blasted a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds outscored
the Pittsburgh Pirates 7 to 2.

Reese provided much of the offense.  He doubled bringing in two baserunners in
the 2nd inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 6th inning.  Cincinnati
managed 11 hits in their victory.  

Saul Rogovin(5-3) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory.
Billy Pierce(10-2) ended up with the loss.  He pitched 5 innings and
