Right fielder Tom Brown rocketed 2 homeruns and Ed Morris had a strong outing
as the Columbus Buckeyes bested the Toledo Blue Stockings 10 to 5 at
Recreation Park.

Brown enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He ripped a base-knock in the 1st
inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 3rd inning and launched a
Grand Slam homerun in the 5th inning.  Columbus managed 9 hits in their
victory.  

Morris(20-9) finished the game allowing 5 runs in the victory. Tony
Mullane(14-13) was the losing pitcher.  He was touched for 3 homeruns in his
8 innings of work.  

Columbus continued on their recent roll, their winning streak now reaching 6
games and counting.
