WEB GEMS- Bot 7th: Dick Harley robbed Kip Selbach of an extra base hit.

Kid Elberfeld had 5 hits and 3 RBI and Ed Siever allowed Frank Dwyer to rest
his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Detroit Tigers really laid it on
the Baltimore Orioles 15 to 5.

The Baltimore fans didn't appreciate the big day Elberfeld had. He doubled in
the 1st inning, lined a single in the 5th inning, tripled which plated a run
in the 6th inning, doubled scoring two baserunners in the 7th inning and
delivered a base-hit in the 9th inning. Detroit provided plenty of action in
the 3rd inning which saw them score 4 runs on 4 hits, the 6th inning when
they had 4 runs on 3 hits and the 7th inning with 4 runs on 3 hits. Detroit
had many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.

The win was credited to Siever(5-12) who went the whole way allowing 5 runs.
Snake Wiltse(7-8) was the loser. He got hit hard, allowing 16 hits and 6
walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.
