George Davis had 3 base hits at Bennett Park as the Detroit Tigers beat the
Boston-AL Americans in 10 innings by the count of 6 to 5.

The score was tied at 5 after nine.  Detroit won the hard fought contest in
the 10th inning.  Johnny Evers drew a walk.  Topsy Hartsel stepped up to the
plate and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  One out later, Chick Fraser then
uncorked a pitch that was ruled a passed ball resulting in a mighty exciting
win for Detroit and the 6,434 home town fans in attendance.  Detroit totaled
9 hits on the afternoon.  

Jesse Tannehill(7-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and
allowing no runs. Fraser(3-8) was hit with the loss in relief.
