Kid Gleason slammed a homerun at Huntington Ave Grnds as the Cincinnati Reds
beat the woeful Boston-AL Americans 6 to 5.

Ed Siever(10-7) was solid if not spectacular. He allowed 7 hits and 4 walks
in 6 and 1/3 innings. Boston-AL tried unsuccessfully to come back in the
9th.

Cy Falkenberg got the save, his 5th. The loss was charged to Bill Hogg(2-4).
'Some losses are harder to take than others' Dale Van Leven lamented after
the game. 'This was one of them.'
