Vic Willis had a complete game and Bill Abstein hit 3 doubles and had 5 RBI as
the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 8 to
2.

Abstein provided much of the offense.  He doubled plating three runs in the
5th inning, doubled in the 8th inning and doubled which was good for two runs
in the 9th inning.  Pittsburgh managed 13 hits in their victory.  

The winning pitcher was Willis(10-8) who allowed 2 runs for the game. Earl
Moore(9-8) took the loss.  He pitched 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 12 hits and
no walks.
