Rube Bressler was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and catcher Wally Schang left the yard and had 4 RBI as the
Philadelphia Athletics defeated the Cleveland Naps 8 to 2 at Shibe
Park.

Schang enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in
the 2nd inning, ripped a single scoring a run in the 6th inning and doubled
which was good for two runs in the 8th inning.  Philadelphia finished with 11
hits in the victory.  

Bressler(1-1) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. Bill Steen(2-8)
was hit with the loss.  He pitched 7 innings and surrendered 10 hits and 1
walk.
