Center fielder Duke Snider rocketed 3 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Chicago-NL
Cubs beat the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 7 to 6.

Snider had a big day at the plate. He clubbed a solo home run in the 4th
inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 5th inning and
lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 7th inning. Chicago-NL finished with
10 hits while Cincinnati ended up with 6.

The winning pitcher was Sal Maglie(8-1) who allowed 1 run in 6 innings. Steve
Ridzik earned his 5th save. Russ Meyer(4-4) was hit with the loss. He
served up 4 gopher balls in 6 innings.

'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Maglie said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put
the ball where I wanted it.'
