Sam Crawford went deep at Polo Grounds where the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the
New York-NL Giants 9 to 5.

Pittsburgh erupted with the game winning runs in the 8th inning when they
tallied 4 runs on 5 hits.  New York-NL was out-hit by Pittsburgh, 12 hits to
8.  

The win went to Nick Altrock(8-12) who allowed 5 runs in 7 innings. Orval
Overall(2-8) was charged with the loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 10 hits
