Left fielder Red Murray slammed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Stoney McGlynn
was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as
the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 10 to 4 at Baker
Bowl.

Murray was really in 'the zone'. He doubled in the 2nd inning, smashed a
solo-shot out of the park in the 4th inning, tripled resulting in a run in
the 6th inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 7th inning. St. Louis
totaled 12 hits on the afternoon.

McGlynn(5-17), allowing 4 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Buster
Brown(5-9) suffered the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 12 hits and 3 walks
in 7 and 1/3 innings.

'I felt great out there today' Murray said. 'I was seeing the ball perfectly,
and I was right on it with my swing.
