Gene Packard was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Pep Goodwin collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI as
the Kansas City Packers bested the Buffalo Buffeds in 10 innings 6 to 5 at
Federal Lg Ball Park.

Both teams had scored 5 runs after nine full innings. Kansas City came out on
top in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, George Perring delivered
a one-base hit.  After another out, Goodwin stepped in and he doubled scoring
the run.  Buffalo proved to be no trouble in the bottom of the 10th.  

The winning pitcher was Packard(7-10) who allowed 5 runs for the game. The
loss was charged to Dan Woodman(1-1) in relief.
