Jim Whitney allowed Ted Sullivan to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
and Walt Wilmot had 5 hits and 4 RBI as the Washington Nationals ballclub
embarrassed the Philadelphia Quakers by the count of 12 to 2.

Wilmot had a good day at the plate.  He stroked a single in the 1st inning,
smashed a two-run homer in the 5th inning, banged out a one-base hit in the
7th inning, singled which brought home a run in the 8th inning and ripped a
single knocking in a run in the 9th inning.  Washington had a total of 17
hits for the game.  

The win was credited to Whitney(12-7) who went the whole way allowing 2 runs.
Dan Casey(8-13) ended up with the loss.  Washington knocked him around a bit,
as he gave up 12 runs in 9 innings.
