Dan Daub tossed a complete game and Tommy Corcoran had 2 base hits and 3 RBI
as the Brooklyn Grooms defeated the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 4 to
3 at Eastern Park.

Daub(10-8) pitched well for Brooklyn in their victory. He went 9 innings
allowing 9 hits and 5 walks.  Brooklyn had 10 hits for the afternoon.  

Gus Weyhing(11-10) took the loss.  'I just wanted to give my team a chance to
win.' said Daub, 'I got burned on a couple of pitches. But we won the game,
and that's all that matters.'
