Ed Konetchy had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the St. Louis Cardinals outscored the
Brooklyn Superbas 8 to 6.

St. Louis wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning plating an
isolated run on 2 base hits.  St. Louis had 11 hits for the afternoon.  

Bob Harmon(9-7) allowed 6 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Pol Perritt gained credit for his 2nd save.  The losing pitcher was
Earl Yingling(1-5).  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 10 hits
and 5 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.  

Wth the win St. Louis now has a record of 36-53.  With the loss, Brooklyn has
a record of 5-5 lately, 41-41 overall.
