Cap Anson went yard and had 4 RBI and Larry Corcoran allowed Anson to rest his
bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Chicago White Stockings crushed the
Cleveland Blues 19 to 4.

Anson had a big day at the plate.  He doubled plating a run in the 2nd inning,
tripled knocking in a run in the 5th inning and ripped a solo home run in the
7th inning.  Chicago provided plenty of action in the 2nd inning when they
had 5 runs on 5 hits and the 8th inning which saw them plate 5 runs on 5
hits.  Offensively, Chicago was a juggernaut.  They scored in 6 separate
innings.  

Corcoran(21-3) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 4 runs. Dave
Rowe(0-1) was the loser.  He surrended 3 homeruns in his 8 innings.
