TEAM RISP- Browns: 9 for 22 Gladiators: 9 for 20

Ed Cartwright had 4 hits and 5 RBI at Ridgewood Park as the St. Louis Browns
beat the league door-mat Brooklyn Gladiators 15 to 11.

Cartwright was really in 'the zone'. He doubled bringing home two baserunners
in the 1st inning, doubled knocking in a run in the 6th inning, doubled in
the 8th inning and tripled bringing in two baserunners in the 9th inning.
St. Louis bats were very productive in the 3rd inning which saw them score 4
runs on 3 hits and the 6th inning with 6 runs on 4 hits. Due to a poorly
pitched ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough for
Brooklyn to come away with the victory.

Billy Hart(1-1) was the winner allowing 10 runs in 8 innings. Bob Murphy(0-1)
was hit with the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 12
hits and 7 walks in 6 innings.

'The ball was jumping off my bat' Cartwright said. 'I didn't do anything
differently, it's the same way I always approach the game.'
