The score was tied at 7 after nine. Cleveland won the game in the 11th inning. McKean led off and started the rally when he laced a base-hit. After an out was recorded, Harry Blake stepped up to the plate and he tripled bringing in a run. One out later, Chippy McGarr then lashed a single making Cleveland the victors to the delight of the home town faithful. Cleveland finished with 17 hits in the victory. Mullane(8-7) allowed 8 runs on the game. Ted Breitenstein(13-17) was hit with the loss. He got hammered, allowing 17 hits and 2 walks in 10 and 2/3 innings. 'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his best stuff,' Patsy Tebeau said after the game. 'Mullane did not have command of his pitches most of the afternoon, but he proved he really knew how to pitch!'
