Jack Lelivelt had 5 hits and 4 RBI as the Washington Nationals bested the St. Louis Browns 9 to 5 at Sportsman'S Park. Lelivelt had a big day with his bat. He doubled which plated a run in the 1st inning, delivered a one-base hit knocking in a run in the 2nd inning, tripled scoring a run in the 4th inning, ripped a single in the 6th inning and doubled which brought home a run in the 8th inning. St. Louis was out-hit by Washington, 15 hits to 5. The win was credited to Bob Groom(7-9) who went 7 innings allowing 4 runs. Jack Powell(7-9) was tagged with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 15 hits and 2 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings. 'I felt great out there today' Lelivelt said. 'I was seeing the ball perfectly, and I was right on it with my swing.
