Reese was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided much of the offense for the visitors. He doubled plating two runs in the 2nd inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 7th inning and doubled scoring a run in the 9th inning. Chicago-NL had a total of 10 hits for the game. The victory went to Raschi(5-9) who went the distance allowing 3 runs. Bob Kuzava(4-6) was the loser. Chicago-NL now has a record of 42-45. With this loss, New York-AL has a 3-7 record of late, 34-57, worst in the league overall.
