Hank O'Day went the distance and Dan Shannon had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the
New York Giants defeated the Cleveland Infants 9 to 3 at Brotherhood
Park.

New York claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring a single run.
George Gore took matters into his own hands and smashed a bases-empty
'big-fly'.  New York had many opportunities throughout the game and scored in
6 separate innings.  

The victory was credited to O'Day(6-10) who went the distance, allowing 3
runs. Cinders O'Brien(8-6) took the loss.  He gave up 9 runs and 11 hits in 9
innings.
