John O'Brien left the yard and had 5 RBI at Robison Field as the red-hot
Washington Senators beat the reeling St. Louis Browns 8 to 4.

O'Brien provided the offensive punch.  He clubbed a two-run home run in the
2nd inning and doubled with all three baserunners touching home in the 3rd
inning.  For the game Washington out-hit St. Louis 14 to 10.  

The victory was credited to Silver King(9-7) who went 8 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 4 runs. Les German recorded his 1st save.  Mike McDermott(0-11) was
given the loss.  He was knocked around, surrendering 8 runs in 7 and 2/3
innings.
