Watty Lee allowed Jim Manning to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game and
Boileryard Clarke hit 2 doubles and scored 3 times as the Washington Senators
outscored the Chicago White Sox 12 to 5.

Washington took the lead for keeps in the 2nd inning scoring 2 runs on 2 base
hits.  Mike Grady got things going when he reached on an error.  Clarke
stepped up next and he doubled.  Pop Foster then would ground out which
plated a run.  Bill Coughlin got his turn next, but he was a strikeout
victim.  Billy Clingman stepped into the box and doubled scoring the final
run of the inning.  Washington managed 17 hits in their victory.  

The win went to Lee(5-14) who allowed 5 runs in the game. Roy Patterson(7-10)
was hit with the loss.  Washington knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 12
runs in 9 innings.
