Tris Speaker slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Boston Red Sox beat the
Chicago White Sox in 10 innings by a score of 7 to 4.

The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. Boston won the hard
fought contest in the 10th inning. Charley Hall kicked off the action when
he doubled. Harry Hooper followed next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.
Larry Gardner then drew a walk. Gardner stole second with some aggressive
base running. Speaker stepped into the box and rifled a three-run blast
giving Boston the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. Both teams
finished the game with 11 hits.

Hall(7-4) got the win allowing no runs in 2 innings. Jim Scott(6-5) was tagged
with the loss in relief. Boston won for the 6th straight time. 'We're
running on all cylinders now', said Patsy Donovan. 'I probably shouldn't
change a thing and let the guys continue to put up the wins.'
