Jimmy Archer ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Detroit Tigers defeated
the St. Louis-AL Browns in 10 innings by a score of 6 to 5 at Bennett
Park.

The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings.  Detroit won it in the
10th inning.  After two outs Archer cracked a solo homerun resulting in an
exciting win for Detroit and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town
fans.  It was roller coaster of a game as the lead change hands 6 times.

The win went to Fred Toney(1-2) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Fred
Blanding(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief.  He pitched 2/3 of an inning and
surrendered 1 hit and no walks.
