Sherm Lollar slammed a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Philadelphia-NL Phillies
defeated the Boston-AL Red Sox by a score of 9 to 3 at Fenway Park.

Lollar was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He doubled bringing in a run in the
3rd inning, doubled in the 6th inning and belted a three-run homer in the 7th
inning. Philadelphia-NL had many opportunities throughout the game and
scored in 6 separate innings.

The win went to Dizzy Trout(13-3) who allowed 2 runs in 6 innings. Mickey
McDermott(4-7) was charged with the loss. He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 10 hits and 6 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.

With this win, Philadelphia-NL has a 52-32 record. They have been 5-5 lately.
With the loss, Boston-AL has a record of 5-5 lately, 41-59 overall.
