WEB GEMS- Bot 8th: Dick Phelan robbed Bill Kienzle of a base hit.

Charlie Levis had 4 hits and 6 RBI and Bill Sweeney tossed a complete game at
Keystone Park as the Baltimore Monumentals belted the Philadelphia Keystones
by the count of 25 to 10.

Levis enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He delivered a one-base hit resulting
in a run in the 1st inning, banged out a single scoring two baserunners in
the 2nd inning, doubled which plated a run in the 4th inning and laced a
base-hit which scored a run in the 9th inning. Baltimore lit up the
scoreboard in the 2nd inning which saw them score 5 runs on 4 hits and the
5th inning when they had 8 runs on 7 hits. The Baltimore offense smacked the
Philadelphia pitching staff around, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.

The win was credited to Sweeney(24-15) who went the whole way allowing 10
runs. Jersey Bakley(16-19) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 21 hits and 2
walks in 9 innings.
