In a dramatic ending the Louisville Colonels staged a comeback and held on to
win over the Cleveland Blues by the count of 3 to 2.

Louisville had the game winning rally in the 9th inning plating 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits.  After an out was recorded, Scott Stratton was the
sparkplug when he was hit by a pitch.  Stratton swiped second base.  Hub
Collins then lined a single resulting in a run.  Collins took second on the
throw.  Cinders O'Brien then unleashed a wild pitch.  Guy Hecker came up to
bat and lined a base-hit scoring the final run of the inning.  Louisville
managed 9 hits in their victory.  

John Ewing(6-2) went 8 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Ewing got help
from Toad Ramsey who was credited with his 1st save.  O'Brien(2-9) absorbed
the loss.  

'The only way this one could have been better', said Ewing, 'was if we had
played it at home.'
