Fred Hartman had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Pittsburg Pirates smashed the
overmatched Cleveland Spiders, 22 to 11.

Pittsburg scored 7 runs in the 4th inning with the help of 8 hits.  It was
enough to earn the victory.  Pittsburg lit up the scoreboard in the 2nd
inning which saw them score 6 runs on 6 hits and the 4th inning with 7 runs
on 8 hits.  The Pittsburg offense was great, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.

The victory was credited to Frank Killen(14-9) who went the distance, allowing
11 runs. Tony Mullane(8-8) was the losing pitcher.  He got hit pretty hard,
allowing 24 hits and 6 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
