In the 7th inning Pittsburgh went on top for good when they tallied 2 runs on
1 hit.  Despite losing, Philadelphia-NL out-hit Pittsburgh 11 to 8.  

Luther Taylor(6-11) got the win allowing 5 runs in 6 innings. Taylor got help
from Weldon Henley who earned his 2nd save.  Three Finger Brown(11-3) was hit
with the loss in relief.  He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow an
earned run in his 2 innings of work.  

With this win, Pittsburgh has a 40-47 record.  They have been 6-4 lately.
